A man named Zaccheus
The street was full of people. they were all waiting for Jesus to come by.
Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus too, but he was too short to see over everybody's heads. So he climbed a tree and watched for Jesus
When Jesus came to the tree, He looked up and saw Zacchaeus. He told Zacchaeus to come down because He was going home with him. All the people were surprised.
Zacchaeus was a bad man. He was a tax collector, and stole money from people.
Nobody liked Zacchaeus, but Jesus didn't care. Jesus loved him no matter what he did. Zacchaeus know he had done bad things. He gave all the money he had stoled back to the people.
In fact, he gave them four times the amount he owed them! Jesus was glad when Zacchaeus became His friend. Luke 19
